The stitch group meets every Tuesday at 3:30 in the upper studio of
the Art League. Bring your works in progress. This is a diversified
group of members who enjoy the chatter while working in their own
medium of choice. All Art League members are welcome.

2007-2008 ART LEAGUE DIGITAL PHOTOGRAPHY CLUB
After its successful debut last year under the Barbara and Bob Gintel’s leadership, we are
continuing on a similar track by planning a full season of photography-related activities.
The digital photography club will meet on the first Monday of each month at 4 p.m., hosting
a variety of guest speakers who will cover a wide range of topics – from technical to
artistic. For example, the program for our December 3 meeting will feature Duke Marx
presenting “How to Take Better Vacation/Travel Pictures.” Don’t miss Duke’s informative
and entertaining program! On the other hand, we might have a program on indoor flash
photography or setting the White Balance.
Our club will also participate in an assortment of photo shoot excursions. For instance,
the photography club will join the Art League’s planned trip on Wednesday, January 23 to
the 19th World Orchid Conference and on Monday, March 3 to Parrot Jungle. Other
outings will be announced.
In addition, your club will provide a facility to print and mount your photos up to 13 x 19
inches. High-quality computers, printer, and mounting equipment have been contributed
by some of our members. Initially, this equipment will be located in one of the rooms at the
Art League’s temporary quarters in the old Medical Center. There will be a new, much
larger, dedicated photography room to house the equipment in the new Art League
building in January, 2008.
We look forward to an exciting year and hope you can join us!
