MONDAYS

We’ll get into the flow of slippery, unpredictable, wonderful watercolor! Students will focus on getting comfortable with loose and tight painting techniques to enjoy the process of watercolor. The basics of materials, value, color and “seeing” your subject will be explored. Weekly subject matter will be taken from reference, direct observation, and imagination, though students are free to choose their own ideas for paintings as well. Please contact the Art League for a Materials List.

As an advanced beginner or intermediate sewist, you will learn the value of Foundation Paper Piecing (FPP) working with classic quilt blocks that lend themselves to this fun and easy paper pieced sampler quilt. By the end, you’ll have a good under- standing of the process AND create a fresh and fun wall hanging. Sewing machines are provided. Maximum 5 students.
